SID Services: Design

Sanchez Industrial Design (SID) has specially designed equipment to meet a variety of needs in field measurements. SID's customized equipment has been purchased by some of the top environmental consulting firms for use in their projects.

          Equipment Towers : These 20 foot poles are designed for permanent noise
            monitoring sites. The poles have a tilt-down feature which allows the user to
            easily change the equipment atop the pole. Data collection equipment
            is encased in a stainless steel enclosure mounted on the tower. These
            enclosures are weatherproof and can be customized to fit your monitoring
            needs. Sanchez Industrial Design's equipment towers are currently used by
            Anchorage, Portland, Lehigh Valley, and Austin, Texas Airports.

Ground Plane Windscreens: Ground Plane Windscreens are larger in size and sit directly on the ground. Because of their design, they take the wind component out of noise measurements. These windscreens have been used in studies for Wisconsin Public Service.

Portable Noise Monitoring Kits: SID's portable kits are designed for size, weight, durability, and ease of use. Each of these custom kits are weatherproof with one designed for attended measurements and the other designed for long term unattended measurements. Each kit contains all the tools necessary for field noise measurements. Sanchez Industrial Design also offers a number of accessories compatible with our portable kits for specialized field measurements. SID's kits are used by many airports including Chicago O'Hare,
Baltimore-Washington International, and San Diego.

Solar Panel Assemblies: Solar panel assemblies were created to provide continuous power to kits in a remote site where frequent battery changes are not feasible. The assemblies are compact and weatherproof. Solar panels can also be customized for use at permanent noise monitoring sites. SID's portable solar panel assemblies have been used for noise studies in the Hualapai Indian Reservation, Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, and at the Kill Van Kull Channel Dreading Sites.
